***NEW DATE - The March 25th training has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 16th at Blue Ridge Community College in Weyer's Cave.
In this 1-day workshop, you will learn how to weave the OSEP child indicators throughout the early intervention process. Weaving the indicators throughout the process, from referral through intervention, will help your team develop a more comprehensive understanding of a child’s unique strengths and needs in the context of family life. A better understanding of the child will strengthen the IFSP process and lead to more effective intervention, with the ultimate goal being improved outcomes for children and families.
In addition to learning about this process, you will also hear insights from staff of the 10 local systems who piloted the process as “early implementers.” These early implementers overwhelmingly recommended face-to-face training for the topics that will be covered and have provided feedback that has helped shape the workshop.
