Documentation
All early intervention activities with or on behalf of a child enrolled in the Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia (and his or her family) must be clearly documented in the early intervention record. Documentation that is well-written, thorough, and complete provides information needed to monitor the implementation of IFSP supports and services, track the child’s progress, and meet reimbursement requirements. Documentation also provides protection to local systems in the event of a dispute.
Here you will find resources to help you manage and meet documentation requirements. Visit the Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia Practice Manual (External Website) for more information about documentation requirements in Virginia’s early intervention system.
